Such games include: Dolphins FC vs Enyimba FC; Sunshine Stars vs Akwa United; Nasarawa United vs MFM FC; and Heartland FC vs Warri Wolves. Three-time champions Kano Pillars will receive Enugu Rangers; are not engaged on the continent.

MFM FC as observed in previous paragraph, are away to Nasarawa United while Ikorodu United will play host to Abia Warriors in Lagos state. The return of Lagos-based clubs, in this case two, will once again put Lagos state, the commercial nerve of Nigeria and West Africa, on world football map.
