Nigeria Missing As Draw for Africa Futsal 2016 Holds Tomorrow

• Tournament to be dominated by South and North African Countries

The Confederation of African Football has revealed the draw procedure for the Futsal Africa Cup of Nations.
The competition to be hosted in South Africa will see the draw take place on Wednesday, 17 February 2016 at the Southern Sun Hotel, OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.

The octet for the draw includes South Africa, Egypt, Angola, Libya, Morocco, Mozambique, Tunisia and Zambia.

For the draw, the host nation South Africa, will be in position A1, while Egypt, which has the highest ranking among the other seven participants for the final tournament will be the top seed for Group B, with the position B1.

The remaining six teams; Angola, Libya, Morocco, Mozambique, Tunisia and Zambia will all be put into one pot containing six balls.

According to the African football governing body, the first team drawn will be in Group A and a draw will be done to determine its position (A2, A3, A4) from the second bowl. The ball drawn second goes to Group B and a draw will be done to determine its position (B2, B3, B4) from the third bowl. This procedure will be repeated until the completion of the two groups.

The final tournament will be held from 15-24 April 2016 in Johannesburg, where the top three teams will qualify to represent Africa at the 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup from 10 September to 1 October 2016 in Colombia.
